How to traceroute an IP address with command prompt

Open Command Prompt

Go to the start menu and search "cmd" and then click on "Command Prompt" to open it.

The Command & Reply

Once you have command prompt open you will be able to send a traceroute using the following command; tracert.
The command uses the following structure: tracert IP ADDRESS

The result will show all of the "hops" the network goes through to get to its destination.
